Canary Wharf Cars is a limited liability company established in England with a registered office at 581 Commercial Road London E1 0HJ (“Canary Wharf Cars”); Canary Wharf Cars (“we”, “our”, “us”, ''CWC'') is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and for the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”), if you book services as a passenger 

In England, the data controller is (as set out in your booking confirmation). This policy sets out the basis on which we will process any personal data or usage information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, in connection with your use of our website at “www.canarywharfcars.com”, our mobile app (the “App”) or our services. Please read this notice carefully so that you understand your rights in relation to your personal data, and how we will collect, use and process your personal data. If you do not agree with this Privacy Notice in general or any part of it, you should not access the Website, the App or use our services

Your privacy is important to us and we value your right to remain anonymous. We have therefore established the following policy in regards to your privacy.

Data Held 

– Personal details (name, address, telephone number etc)

– IP address, cookie strings or mobile device information

– Location data

– Inbound / outbound call recordings

– CCTV recordings 

What information is collected?

We, at CWC are known as the ‘Controller’ of any personal data you provide to us. We collect basic personal details about you which includes your title, first name, last name, telephone no, email address, location data (mobile booking app). Any customer payment card details are stored on the mobile app and any payments are processed/stored on Cab Treasure secure system. We don't take your card details over the phone any card payments you made by the payment link are processed via PayPal which does not store any card details with us.. We record and store CCTV footage for the safety of our customers and staff and also for crime prevention purposes.

Why we need your information?

To provide ground transportation services and to alert you via SMS messages when your private hire vehicle is dispatched and the driver is outside your collection address. For your safety and security, within these SMS messages, the following details are provided, driver name, badge number, vehicle details, in accordance to Transport for London (TFL) regulations.

How we process your information?

We enter your personal and job itinerary information into our dispatch system in order to provide transport services.

How long we retain your information?

Personal data that we process shall not be kept for longer than is necessary. Service data and account data will be retained for a minimum period of 12 months and for a maximum period of 6 years.

Sharing and disclosing your personal information?

We do not share or disclose any of your personal information with anyone unless we receive an official lawful request from the police (DPA form is required), any other government agency which includes TFL. For customer bookings customers are asked

Bookings.

This is passenger's responsibility to put correct address with the post code on the web/app or telephone booking date time including contact number. once you booked on the website you will receive an email and get confirmation text when you booked over the phone. 

Cancellation.

No fee will apply before dispatch of car for local jobs and three hours in advance for Airports jobs. if canceled after arrival minimum fare will apply for local jobs and 30% fare will apply for airports jobs. if no show at the airports pickup, full fare will be apply.

Pickup late.

Always book in advance and keep enough time on your hand. we do our best to pick up on time but sometime unusual traffic/Road closer/accident can happen. CWC does not take responsibility for any of your losses, including full payment of fare, which will not be reduced or refunded.

DRIVER / SUBCONTRACTOR

• Canary Wharf Cars only engages self-employed sub-contracting drivers. For good order with our TFL license, we expect you to be registered with the HMRC and will want your UTR (unique tax reference number) to show that you are “fit and proper”. If you don’t have an accountant, We will find a suitable one for you

• VEHICLE

You need Your own vehicle or You can hire a vehicle from any car rental company of your choice and use it how you want, You should do the insurance before start work with us.

• EXPERIENCE

You do not necessarily need experience of driving a private hire vehicle. If you are enthusiastic, reliable, have a good knowledge of East London. You also need to be able to read, write and speak good English, you are welcome to signup. You will need a Transport for London private hire licence (formerly known as a PCO Licence) to accept bookings from CWC.

• TRAINING 

Canary Wharf Cars do not give training but can advise you of businesses who have a private hire training team who will assist you to have the knowledge and all that you will need for your license. These will give drivers the opportunity to take an NVQ level 2 award in Road Passenger Vehicle Driving. However, this is your choice and NOT a requirement of CWC

• EARNING

You are the key to your own success. As you work when you want, but remember the more journeys you complete, the more money you will earn

• Payment

type There are three types of booking

  1. Account, The first is a priority service for account-based bookings. For these journeys, we will take your money for you, direct from your client and you will be paid weekly in arrears, Account work will be credited and paid directly into your bank account.  

  2. Secondly Cash, there are cash bookings. For these journeys, the passenger will pay you your money directly, in cash, when you have completed the journey. These bookings help top up your cash flow

3.Thirdly, Credit/Debit Card Bookings, customers can download the CWC App and register a Credit/Debit card, any transaction will show on the drivers Account Credit Sheet, as a self-employed driver you can obtain a credit card terminal which can be linked directly to your bank account.

• Fuel

Yes, it is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that his vehicle always contains enough fuel to complete each journey. Remember this cost is an expense that is wholly claimable in your tax return

Satellite navigation or GPS

It is the drivers responsibility to supply your own equipment such as Sat Nav or A to Z of London and any other Maps. GPS navigation Maps are available through our Apple on Android app

Become a driver,

Before accepting bookings from CWC, you will need to provide us with your DVLA driving license, your PHV Driver license (Paper & Badge), your National Insurance Card or Proof of National Insurance, a UTR (Unique Tax Reference number), a passport size Photo and Proof of Address ie. Bank Statement, Utility Bills clearly showing your current address.

• How much you will pay to Canary Wharf Cars

CWC will charge a standard weekly charge or commission. These rates are normally adjusted every two to three years. Please call to our recruiting manager to know the present rate. From time to time Discount incentives become available which can be discussed in full with our manager. you pay rent or commission on time before Wednesday.

• Signup

Simply call to our recruiting manager or walk in to reception. “Driver/Subcontractor Sign up” you will receive a booking appointment at the first available appointment to get you started with East London’s oldest Minicab company.

Week start on Monday and finish on Sunday.

Leaving the work. only a week in advance notice is required.

Do we terminate you? Unless or otherwise we don't find you any behavior against any terms and condition or any restriction by TFL/ Police or DVLA.
